Emi is currently developing The Discovery of Fire, a new musical with Chris Anselmo (Book & Music). This show aims to explore modernity’s effect on the way we mourn loved ones' passings and what progress means to our own humanity. It's a journey to rediscover fire in a world that only knows of electricity.

The Discovery of Fire held its first public workshop at Musical Theatre Factory's 4x15 series in October 2016. The cast for the workshop featured Laura Galindo, Zachary Daniel Freier-Harrison, and Emma Kikue.
